WZO ELECTION IN CANADA
The Canadian Zionist Federation is pleased to present the official platforms of all the groups participating in our upcoming election for the 2025 World Zionist Congress, which will be held in Jerusalem from October 28 to 30, 2025. The election of delegates in Canada will be conducted between June 5 and 15. Further information will be posted on this page as the election approaches.

To the Canadian Zionist Community
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to each of you and all your originations as you prepare for the upcoming Canadian World Zionist Organization elections. Thank you for your suggestions, comments, concerns and support.
It’s been a long process, with a few bumps along the way. The hard work and preparation are over, and the elections are finally here tomorrow. This is a significant opportunity to engage our communities and inspire participation in shaping the future of the
Zionist movement. As Theodor Herzl once said, “We are organizing Jewry for its coming destiny.” These elections reflect that vision—of unity, purpose, and collective responsibility.
As we enter the election period, please remember that fair and transparent conduct is not only expected but essential. Cheating or any breach of the election guidelines will not be tolerated. I encourage all campaigns to remain positive, focused on vision and
values rather than division.
I look forward to a spirited and constructive process that will strengthen our collective voice in the global Zionist conversation.

Who’s on the slate?
The Zionist Congress is the Parliament of the Jewish People, and continues a proud tradition started by Theodor Herzl when he convened the first Congress in Basel in 1897. Slate voting for delegates is part of this proud tradition.
This is the Labour party slate for the election of delegates from the Land of Israel for the 18th Congress that was held in Prague in 1933. This slate includes the following luminaries from the early days of Israel’s statehood with the numerical reference being his or her position on the slate:
1. David Ben Gurion. Israel’s First Prime Minister.
4. Moshe Shertok (later Sharett). Second Prime Minister.
7. Yitzhak Ben Zvi. Israel’s Second President.
9. Zalman Robishov (later Shazar). Third President.
17. Levi Shkolnick (later Eshkol). Third Prime Minister.
27. Golda Meyerson (later Meir). Fourth Prime Minister.
Before the election period expires at 11.59 pm (Pacific time) on June 15 please be sure to cast your vote. We have a chance to select the Canadian Zionist luminaries that will represent us at the Congress this year.
