WZO ELECTION IN CANADA
The Canadian Zionist Federation is pleased to present the official platforms of all the groups participating in our upcoming election for the 2025 World Zionist Congress, which will be held in Jerusalem from October 28 to 30, 2025. The election of delegates in Canada will be conducted between June 5 and 15. Further information will be posted on this page as the election approaches.

Zionism, the national liberation movement of the Jewish people, brought about the establishment of the State of Israel and views a Jewish, Zionist, democratic, and secure State of Israel to be the expression of the common responsibility of the Jewish people for its continuity and future.
The foundations of Zionism are:
The unity of the Jewish people, its bond to its historic homeland Eretz Yisrael, and the centrality of the State of Israel and Jerusalem, its capital, in the life of the nation.
Aliyah to Israel from all countries and the effective integration of all immigrants into Israeli society.
Strengthening Israel as a Jewish, Zionist, and democratic state and shaping it as an exemplary society with a unique moral and spiritual character, marked by mutual respect for the multi-faceted Jewish people, rooted in the vision of the prophets, striving for peace and contributing to the betterment of the world.
Ensuring the future and the distinctiveness of the Jewish people by furthering Jewish, Hebrew, and Zionist education, fostering spiritual and cultural values, and teaching Hebrew as the national language.
Nurturing mutual Jewish responsibility, defending the rights of Jews as individuals and as a nation, representing the national Zionist interests of the Jewish people, and struggling against all manifestations of anti-Semitism.
Settling the country as an expression of practical Zionism.

Le sionisme, mouvement de libération nationale du peuple juif, a conduit à la création de l’État d’Israël et considère un État d’Israël juif, sioniste, démocratique et sûr comme l’expression de la responsabilité commune du peuple juif pour sa pérennité et son avenir.
Les fondements du sionisme sont :
L’unité du peuple juif, son lien à sa patrie historique, Eretz Israël, et la place centrale de l’État d’Israël et de Jérusalem, sa capitale, dans la vie de la nation.
L’Aliyah à Israël de tous les pays et l’intégration effective de tous les immigrants dans la société israélienne.
Renforcer Israël en tant qu’État juif, sioniste et démocratique et en faire une société exemplaire, dotée d’un caractère moral et spirituel unique, marquée par le respect mutuel du peuple juif aux multiples facettes, ancrée dans la vision des prophètes, œuvrant pour la paix et contribuant à l’amélioration du monde.
Assurer l’avenir et la spécificité du peuple juif en favorisant l’éducation juive, hébraïque et sioniste, en promouvant les valeurs spirituelles et culturelles et en enseignant l’hébreu comme langue nationale.
Favoriser la responsabilité juive mutuelle, défendre les droits des Juifs en tant qu’individus et en tant que nation, représenter les intérêts sionistes nationaux du peuple juif et lutter contre toutes les manifestations d’antisémitisme.
Construire le pays comme expression d’un sionisme concret.
